An ambitious re-imagining with new life and dramatic bold colors by the New York architects Peter Stamberg and Paul Aferiat. The pool courtyard was the focus of this project. The vivid colors used in this project were painstakingly research by the architects, with local desert blooms creating the color palette.
The landscape plant palette was carefully determined to be just four colors that would be in designated quadrants: red, orange, yellow and purple. Artificial turf was used extensively to support the many events that are held in the pool yard. The existing pool and fence were kept but the fence was planted with an orange blooming vine to make it disappear.
Select water features were also incorporated in several areas of the pool courtyard.
